How we calculate estimates
The estimate applies published multiples to the bands you choose. A collections lens always runs. If you give an EBITDA band, a profit lens runs too and the private-sale range is where the two overlap. A DSO line appears only at $1M+ collections and $300K+ EBITDA. Every number is rounded to the nearest $25K, and we never show a single point value.
Percentage of collections, private sale: 60%–85% (75% midpoint)
EBITDA multiple, individual buyer: 3.0× to 4.25×
EBITDA multiple, DSO / private-equity buyer: 4.0× to 8.0× (shown at $1M+ collections and $300K+ EBITDA)
Specialty factor (high end only): Ortho, Pediatric, Oral surgery, Endo ×1.10 · Perio ×1.05 · Prosth ×0.95
State and operatory count don't change the number; no citable public multiples exist for them.
